When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

Allegro Central Vacuum Cleaning System represents the very best in design for your safe operation. However, as with any Powerful appliance, caution must be exercised while using this Central Vacuum System. The safety precautions and instructions for maintenance outlined in this manual are important. When using the Allegro Central Vacuum System, the following basic precautions should always be adhered to:

Your Allegro power unit is equipped with a powerful electric blower motor and the necessary electronic controls. A circuit breaker is incorporated into the Control Panel of the Power Unit to protect your appliance from overheating or electrical overload. If the circuit breaker trips, you will be able to reset the circuit breaker by pressing the reset button.
Do not reset the circuit breaker for more than 2 or 3 times in succession. Each unit includes a six (6) foot grounded power supply cord to eliminate the need for high voltage (~120 v) hard wiring. The (optional) On/Off switch on the Power Unit is provided for additional convenience. The green LED light indicates that the Power Unit is energized with ~120v (or ~220 v where applicable) main supply. It also serves as additional tool for troubleshooting. The three (3) micron, Microfiber Filtration System provides 99.98% filtering efficiency. If your hose is equipped with a control switch on the handle, then you will be able to operate (turn ON/OFF) the Power Unit at your fingertip.

For non-paper filter bag units, the dirt pail should be emptied several times a year depending upon the amount of usage and the size of your home. The unique serial number of the unit, the manufacturing date, and the relevant electrical data is shown on the serial plate.
